RoyalCrest Parent Association (RCPA)


The Head of Parent Council position is held until a new Head is chosen by the end of September of each school year.

Nominees are asked to post an autobiography which will assist the parents of the Academy in understanding the nominee's talents. Voting is done anonymously. Duties and responsibilities include:

1. Co-ordinating all committees heads and events throughout the school year such as school concerts, some school trips, luncheons, etc.

2. Organizing 3 parent council meetings (one each term) to discuss any outstanding concerns or suggestions from our parents.

3. Will assume for one (1) school year (September - June), a position on the Advisory Board Committee. The Advisory Committee consists of 5 individuals: the Chairman of the Board, three(3) Directors and the Head of the Parent Council. Meeting are held once per term.


PARENT COMMITTEES:
Parent volunteers assist the Academy with events throughout the school year. We encourage parent participation even if parents are limited to specific days and times. Any assistance lent on a seasonal basis will be truly appreciated. Let us all work together to build a unique and happy environment for our children.

 

SPECIAL EVENTS COMMITTEE:
Parents assist the teachers with the organization of many events throughout the year:
- Welcome and End of year BBQ
- Holiday and Spring concerts
- Fundraising mini events

SILENT AUCTION & GALA COMMITTEE:
- Parents are responsible for collecting items for our silent auction fundraising gala. All proceeds are collected for the RCA wish list fund.

YEARBOOK COMMITTEE:
- Parents assist the Grades 7 & 8 students to compile and organize photos throughout the year to produce our annual yearbook.
