Computer Technology

Formal instruction in computer technology begins in our elementary grades at RoyalCrest Academy. Students will begin with basic computer literacy in Grades 1 & 2 which will include computer terminology, application access, saving and retrieving, and keyboard introduction.

Students will be given more instructional coaching in Grades 3 & 4 with proper keyboarding techniques and word processing. By Grades 5 & 6 students will be introduced to basic multimedia productions such as graphic design and by grade 7 & 8 will be required to produce the school's yearbook as part of the curriculum. Internet access will be limited and restricted to students only when a teacher is present. Students may be allowed to use computers for presentations and class projects.
